Our commitments

Government

Local processing of a national crop, export of a finished product in hard currency, industrial jobs in Bujumbura, income for growers, less charcoal and, next, energy from residues in support of the grid. The institutional contact is the General Management. The chairman of the board chairs the Association of Industrialists of Burundi.

Energy programme

GPC puts its residue stream, its site and its laboratory at the service of a national waste-to-energy and rural-energy programme, carried by PURE Power Burundi, anchored on the Rusi polytechnic campus and the AAIN incubator network, with FAO cooperation for productive-use agro-processing. The detail — biogas stored for the evening peak, briquettes, co-digested compost, electric collection, solar — is on the Energy page.
